Although the Singles 'family' comes homeless from the lot bin, I still found a piece of Maxis fug to use for their house.

Aw, yess. This sits down the street from the Grunts by default, and it is ugly with a capital OMFG. It's one of the few Maxis houses I've found so far with a ready-made basement, although it was handled less than expertly. You have to use modular stairs to get to it because the ground's dug out too low; a regular staircase won't reach the upper floor. It's just twelve clicks, dude - three sets of modulars into the ground, and boom, a basement at the perfect depth for staircases and walls. You'd think Maxis of all builders would know that, even if this was built for the base game. Modular stairs still existed then.

Anyhow, once makeovers were underway, I was reminded of how much I like my alien defaults (on every alien except PT9.) They look quite good on Lola Curious-Smith, and she looks even better when her hair's not glued down to her scalp.

Her sister Chloe rocks the defaults hard, too. She looks quite befitting of the Jenova eyes.

Erin Beaker turned out much better without the Marsha Bruenig hair and fortunately looks to have missed out on brother Loki's... uh, stronger features.

Kristen Loste didn't turn out too bad, either, although the hairline mask looks better from a distance.

The house that ACK! built turned into this. I wasn't really motivated to make the higher-than-usual foundation different from the upper walls outside, but I might try it again later. As before, I tried to keep most of the bumps and hills for interest and did keep the cactus and... whatever those stalks are. Century plants? I forget.

Inside the front door is the living room with seat for five (seven, if you count the chess chairs.) The lefthand arch goes to the kitchen.

... while this one goes into a 3x3 creativity room. Wealth sim Kristen is kept happy in there with making and selling plates on the pottery wheel, and Erin is usually in there painting.

The kitchen is a pretty neat sea of aqua. Off to the left here is a door to a 3/4 bathroom.

Next to the stairs in the living room is the back door that goes out to the rear patio. Strangely, the presence of a bar hasn't turned anyone into an instant lush. Color me surprised.

The stairs lead up to a hallways. What a twist! And yeah, you see yet another ballet bar. Lola's laid claim to this one, but at least Dancing is her One True Hobby. The white and aqua door leads to the full bathroom, but my boycott still stands. Feh.

There's one double bed in the house, which unsurprisingly was claimed by Romance sim Chloe.
What screams "wanton lust" better than gingham and kawaii mushrooms, I ask you? ... don't judge me, man.

Erin of course has the garden of pinkness.

Kristen and Lola share the third bedroom, which hasn't proven a problem yet. Between their room and Erin's is a small office.

Which would be this. Just enough for the desk and a usable stack of books on the floor.

The basement's been re-leveled, but there's nothing down there yet. Should be a convenient place to stash craft benches and the like.

Ahh, It's getting to the point where almost all of the town is starting to match.
I haven't played the Singles girls much yet, but their welcoming, alone, was interesting. Chloe's a Romance sim. So is Peter Ottomas over there.

You can probably see where this is going. And yes, they totally did it before he finally left. Do remember he has a pregnant wife at home. I do believe that permeating sense of slime has become justified, and someone just might find himself kicked out to the trailer park in Belladonna Cove before this is over with.
This was the first house in the megahood where it occured to be to check everyone's gender preference. Every one of them had a "Male: 10/Female: 0" reading. Well, that's kind of boring and predictable, so I randomized everyone, instead. Chloe and Lola remained straight...

Kristen and Erin did not. It was entirely their choice to start making out with each other, though. I'd almost forgotten about ACR's randomizer function. Methinks I'll be doing this to everyone binned from now on, to shake things up.
That catches us up on doings in SimCity for now. Stay tuned for a Midgar bedtime story starring my first ever consensual menage a'trois.
