It's very strange - I could've sworn I was just here...

Mother always did say that being of the Family persuasion was dangerous. I've always been active and don't mind the weight, and as long as there's food at hand, even the hunger stops seeming peculiar.
But the tiny things that grab onto your pants leg, that stare at you from the floor when you're trying to sleep, that follow you into the bathroom and call you "daddy"... that's what takes getting used to.

It's not like I have a lot of experience to draw from, but Eve's been an exemplary child so far. She doesn't squall, she doesn't leave a mess... we just have to get her to understand that the showers have doors for a reason.

But of course, you no sooner explain it to one, and along comes another that'll crawl where it pleases.

Eve now has a little brother, Arios. To say Lazard is pleased would be an understatement. Arios has my eyes and hair, but it'll be a while before we'll find out of he'll get any feathers.

Even with a new infant in the house, Eve isn't wanting for attention. And now that she's out of diapers, I figure just a little Mako never hurt anyone. It's the additives you have to look out for.

Zexy never shies away from his fatherly duties, either. Fortunately for him, he has quite a captive audience.
"Wheee're Eve...?"

"There's Eve!"
"Omigod, that amazing!"

She's a little adventurer, too. I probably shouldn't be surprised. Doors aren't a barrier, they're a challenge, right, Eve? She pays no mind to the cold or snow, either. If I didn't know better, I'd say she takes after someone else.

"I'd say he's not fat enough, but it would take more snow than our yard can handle. Of course, the best part about snow presidents is hauling out the flamethrower..."

Others, meanwhile, aren't as enamored with winter.
"Seph? Does Midgar ever have a spring?"

"Long winters aren't that bad, Zexy..."

"... you just need to be creative with how you keep warm."

Arios is getting bigger aleady, and he knows a soft touch for attention when he sees it.

Eve's growing, too, and turning out to be quite an athlete. If you can't find her, she's usually out at the basketball net.

She and Arios get along well, so at least neither seems to have inherited the sibling rivalry gene.

It's a good thing we grow most of our own supplies; with five people in the house, we can empty a fridge like no one's business. It's enough to have two growing kids, but damn, I've been hungry today...

"What the...!? Oh, dammit. ZEXION!"

"What? Something wrong?"
"Your ass. Upstairs. Now."

"We really need to have a talk about you and your 'letting nature take its course' philosophy."
"Well, where I'm from, males don't naturally breed like rabbits."
"Zexy, this is Midgar. You have no idea how 'natural' shit like this can be."
"Would it help if I said it's sexy?"

"It might."
"How about if I got you a present?"
"A present..."
"Sure! Along the lines of a 'sorry I didn't realize you were in heat' apology."

Well, as presents go, I must admit an apple tree is pretty damn good. I may just let the little shrimp live.

So, taking care of one baby, and pregnant with another. This is really getting to be familiar.

I suspect Arios will grow into his features and end up looking a lot like me.

But he loves his art, just like Lazard.

"Okay, not kidding! Pain coming on here!"

"Holy shit, I've never been home for this before! What do I do?!"
"Be ready with gauze and an ice pack!"

"Woo! Baby has my eyes again! Hey, we have an Eve, how about a Dusk?"
"... Dusk Deusericus?"
"Baby girl! This is awesome!"

I'm definitely glad she's out and two other people can help me keep her fed, but Minerva's tits, shouldn't this get easier, with the more you do it...?

Little Arios is darned cute. *wants to pinch cheeks*

^^ I have some kiddified pics of Arios coming up. He strangely looks a bit like Kadaj. Unless the game pulls genetics from the family tree links, I don't know how that happened. Doesn't help that I had to give him a Kadaj-ish hair. I really need more styles for kids and toddlers.

Well, I mean, at least Kadaj is cute and has a personality.... *cough*Yazoo*cough*

And yes, I well recall the grandchildren. Makes me chuckle just to think about it. It's genetic, too - Seph's lifetime want is to have six grandchildren. I so laughed at that when I noticed.
