CS4 has a function to make animated gifs.

This is completely unhealthy for my peculiar imagination.

Re: AHH!

It is shared, at the bottom of the "one-winged angel in the wild post". I haven't really announced it or added links anywhere because it's working, but not finished. If you check it out, be sure to read the notes.

I found this through google: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop/11.0/WSC9CD6949-D63F-4299-A024-A212F541F77Ea.html

The only problem I had that I didn't see covered in the tutorial is that every time you make a new frame in the animation window, there's a box that says "recursive to frame 1?" (or something like that) that you have to uncheck every time with text layers, or else the text will pile up over the other frames, as well. Haven't tried additional images to see if they're the same way; it could just be because the text is transparent. Uncheck that and hide the unused layers as needed per frame, and all should be well. The rest of the tute is pretty clear, if I could get it right on my first try XD The side links to mini-explanations help a lot, too.

I'm so glad CS4 can do this. I wasn't looking forward to $50 for Coffecup to do the same thing.

I noticed that avatar on Y! earlier. I like it.

I recently figured out how to make these in Photoshop. I think I'm having far too much fun playing with it. ^_^
