Moving on, we head next door to Olive along Big Honkin' Rock Court to the new abode of one Nervous Subject.

HAHA this isn't it. I didn't have a cloned house that felt right for him, so I put him in a Social Starter that I know I'm just going to tear down, anyway.

Appropriately enough, his pre-makeover neighbor walked by. He was quite happy about that.

Nervous moved in with the usual 20,000 simoleons, plus an inventory full of deco from the Beakers' house and a shed to sell for scrap. He ended up with $23,500 on the dot to build with.

It netted him this. It has a nice, big master bedroom upstairs and two 3x3 bedrooms for the kids he'll inevitably try for. With the Grand Trianon bunkbeds, they'll hold them all. All told, he had $7 left after construction and furnishing. And yes, I wrote that right. Well, it was $6 after I bought him a lot debugger just to be safe. But he found a job as a military recruit, so one day later, he wasn't hurting for cash.

The front door opens to the living room, which holds most of the non-food-related stuff in the house.

Including TV and radio for working out however he pleases...

... and a computer typewriter to write novels on and stuff, and a memento (for me) of robbing the Beakers blind.

The archway above leads into the rear kitchen, full of guatla's glorious matching appliances (and $1 windows. Normally, I don't like to exploit money cheats, but I'm not the one who priced them. It's not like this is a challenge and I'm working under rules, after all.)

And the kitchen opens into the dining room (for five, so keep the kids to three in the house at any given time, okay, toots?) which in turn opens back to the living room and staircase.

I always feel Nervous is a guy who likes blue, or at least I think he looks good in blue, so I tend to overuse it in his houses a lot.

Upstairs is a basic hallway. The doors on the left are the two bedrooms, but they're currently empty. Until Nervous has a partner, there's no reason to squander his cash on furnishing he won't be using. The door at the end naturally leads to the upper porch. It also has nothing for the time being, until money's not so tight. On the right, there's an inset at the end of the stairwell where the master bedroom's door is found.

Modest, but still roomier than most bedrooms I build, and if any sim deserves it, it's Nervous.

The pond out front is of course fishable. Nervous is slow as fishing goes, but he gets there. I mounted his first catfish, but I think that's the only 'trophy' he'd really want. Family sims are much more practical, and he'll likely want to eat the rest. Besides, he'll be much prouder to mount the fish his future kids have than he would his own.

Heeee, cheesecake. Guess who maxed his fitness.

Nervous has spun up the want to have his first kiss, however, so since I feel it should be a public service, I cheated him the thousand simoleons to buy the crystal ball and see whom in all of the megahood would be a good match. Nervous is attracted to hard-working good cooks (gawd, how appropriate,) and turned off by the unemployed.

The crystal ball recommended this. I forget his name. It's like LeTourneau, but not. He's already a business tycoon, which fits Nervous' hard worker bill smashingly.

However, I made him selectable just long enough to tell him to eat the sushi Nervous made, since it has no "call to meal" options. I noticed that this guy has a want for someone to be an overacheiver. Overacheiver? Townies have kids?? The answer - at least this time - is no. This guy seems to be a playable in Belldonna Cove. That's not a deal-breaker by any means, but he's got two bolts each for the Cordial sisters. Which means he's straight. Stupid crystal ball.

So, basically, Nervous just met a really good friend, but nothing more.

Now, I've just got to convince him of that. *sigh*

This brings us to the end of Nervous' pics for tonight, but much like Sephiroth, I'm sure he'll be showing up again. A lot.
