To start off, the Curioususeses now live across the rock from Nervous, 'cause I put an apartment lot up on their old spot on the mesa. Plus, Pascal's his best friend and it just shortens the commute for visits.

Oh, Maxis, you make my head hurt. I can only assume someone was trying for a 3D "microchip" look. It may succeed in that regard, but... WAAAASTE. Holy fuck, by the time you walk up to the telescope and back down, the season's changed!

I think demolition netted around $60,000.

But first thing's first...

Vidcund Curious, meet the clothing tool. I may have to research the Curious family tree more closely. That brow reminds me a lot of Loki, and Vidcund's the only blond and distinctly different from his brothers.

Whom, incidently, turned out pretty damn cute.

Yeah, Lazlo. I don't do the surgery route for these. It's all hair and makeup. If this was my doctor, I'd be much more eager to hop up on the table, lemme tell you.

That's saying quite a bit for me. Lazlo's default look reminds me far too much of my ex-stepdad. Seriously. If you saw a photo, you'd be creeped out, too. I think I love his new get-up so much just because it makes him look completely different.

And super!uke Pascal. I hate his starting-to-bald default hair only third to the buzz-mullet and second to manmaid Remington's muffin hair. He looks so much younger with damn near any other style.

"What the hell are we doing outside?"
"And where'd this couch come from?"
"Dudes, trust me! It's an upgrade! ... I think."

Everything's subjective, but I like it. It's so shades-of-gray inside, it even attracted the skunk. Too bad they can't adopt it as a matching pet.

All of that glass in the desert sun would probably be stupid in real life, but sims luckily don't have such worries.

Like the original, this house has a central hub of sorts, too, only this one is something useful like a staircase instead of a freakish bathroom.

Straight back and to the rear left is the kitchen, and the door leads to a full bath in the column-pod-thing.

The kitchen connects to a dining room, which goes into a pod with a couple easels and a keyboard, as Lazlo doesn't seem like the painting type.

The front right is the living room, with a desk and book case in the pod. There's hasn't been any fighting over the computer as yet, so one desk is working fine for now.

The rear right looks forlorn, but you just can't see what's in here. There's a treadmill to the right, and the Slacker career planting station to the left. In the pod are a couple of the original plants and room for more, once I figure out who the rogue botanist is.

Upstairs is the chessboard and more open room for hobby benches and what have you later on.

I'm really glad I didn't have to draw those stairs by hand. I never would have guess that perspective was correct in a million years. It leads on to the roof with the dueling telescopes and a basketball net. I'll change that to a soccer goal later, just to break routine.

There are three bedrooms that all pretty much look the same. The pods are empty for now simply because I don't know what to add yet. I'm sure wants later on will result in plenty of clutter.

Of course, Pascal's pod is a little occupied...

... as right after he entered the finished house, he popped out little Madchen. It's been so long since I've seen an alien, I forgot that I had default replacements in. I in no way chose those eyes to make future aliens children of Jenova. She's so damn cute! And she has a nose!

The welcome wagon likes her, too.

"BABY!"
"Go away."

Then again, not every alien is so adorable.

Whoa.

"Rawr."
"Aunt Olive, that's disgusting."

But this? I'll endorse a rawr for.

"... oh, my."
"That's vile!"
"Just wait until you see how the battle axe slaughters ogres!"
"I'm not talking about the game! I can see up your shorts in the TV's reflection! GAH."

So closes the remodel of the Curious home. Up next, the sordid seat of lust (so far) in Strangetown...

Ooooh. You're making me want to reinstall my maxis neighborhoods now. Never a megahood, sadly, as I don't have seasons, but maybe a bit of strangetown remodeling will be in order. It's really cool that some maxis sims are actually CUTE. *huggles made-over Lazlo*
