21 colors - 3 flavors

Not many ways to describe these, but a usable set of custom eyes for your TS2 sims. This set owes its existence to animekittysama's eye color guide, ripped directly from the Crisis Core texture files.

Most of the textures were not altered in any way - save for resizing them to work in sim-scale - with a few exceptions: the low-res colors on the chart were too small or the wrong angle to adapt, so another high-res eye was used and approximated to the needed colors. And since Vincent doesn't actually appear in CC, yet I wanted his color included while I was at it, his eyes are adjusted from Cissnei's texture, with a DoC screenshot for the color guide.

There are regretably no previews of Gillian's, Hollander's and Hojo's eyes, as I don't yet have sims for the former, and while I do have a Hojo and changed his color, I completely forgot to open his lot and take a picture. Also, Vincent's eyes are only viewable in the Bodyshop previews for the same reason.

And speaking of Bodyshop previews:

All textures by Square Enix. Blended sclera and detailing by Pooklet. Sim models and all other monkeywork by me (Cloud model by frankscrank@LJ. Yuffie model by sephiroth1 on MTS2.)

The Downloads:

Default Replacement Set - uses Cissnei (brown), Angeal (dark blue), Genesis (light blue), Aerith (green), and Lazard (gray).

Geneticized Set: inheritable and allows for mid-range colors to appear. Dominance over other colors adjusted to Maxis standard values.

Geneticized AND Towniefied Set: same as above, but will also appear randomly on townies, NPCs, and in the CAS randomizer.

[warning: removing geneticized or townified eyes after they've been put into play may corrupt your sims' DNA.]

For a tutorial on changing the eye colors of existing sims without Sim Surgery or donor sims, click here. It's an older tutorial, but it worked perfectly for me just yesterday. Requires SimPE.

And finally, if you'd like a closer, in-game look, the pic spam:

Since these are Squeenix textures, use them however you please as long as it doesn't rile their legal department, and don't claim you made this eyeset. If you use the eyes in an uploaded sim, please just mention where you got them.

Eeee, you did a fantastic job! I am going to download these into my game and apply them right away. I'm so glad they came out looking so nice and that my work was able to be put to good use.

Aw, thank you! I suspect I'll be dancing around, throwing rose petals at your feet for quite a while, for the service you've done the fandom.

I did look into a contacts set, but all of the ones I've found work either for AF or AM - haven't found one yet that works for both nor for all ages, so I'll have to investigate further before those come about.

Aw, I'm not the big hero in this. That honor goes to all of the people who develop the programs that make this possible. I'm just sharing it with the more fandom-oriented side of things.

Aww, that sucks. Well, good luck on making it work.

Nice! I'm left wishing once again that I played the Sims.

Kadaj doesn't have an eye texture in Crisis Core, as he's not in the game. But I did change my sim!remnants' eyes to the Sephiroth green, as Loz can attest.

Wow, these are amazing! I'm so jealous of your sims though, mine are awful in comparison. Where did you get reno's goggles? XD

Thanks! I got the goggles from Garden of Shadows, originally from a post that's since disappeared but you can still download them from the WCIF section. Get the meshes from the first link- they've been edited from the originals to be more useful- then my link below it should have all the lens colors that were available (I think there were blue, amber and red.)
